These terms are an agreement between you (the business that uses MAX, and the person accepting on its behalf) and Doc Lock LLC, 7121 Regal Ln, Knoxville, TN 37918, USA, which operates MAX. By creating an account or using MAX you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
MAX is an AI assistant for businesses. It talks with your leads and customers (starting with WhatsApp), answers from the information you give it, books appointments on your calendar, keeps a CRM, sends follow-ups you allow, and reports to you. We keep improving MAX, so features may change; some may be labeled beta.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and allowed to act for the business.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for activity in your account; tell us right away at hello@maxatwork.com if you suspect misuse.
3. Your content and your customers' data
You own the content you give MAX and your customer data. You give us permission to use it only to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
For your customers' data your business is the controller and we process it for you. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any consents you need to message your customers, and for telling them that they may be talking with an AI assistant where the law requires it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use MAX to:
- Send spam or unsolicited marketing. Get the consent the law requires before sending promotional messages, honor opt-outs, and follow anti-spam laws (in Israel, section 30A of the Communications (Telecommunications and Broadcasting) Law; in the US, laws such as the TCPA and CAN-SPAM, where they apply).
- Break the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, WhatsApp Commerce Policy, or other Meta terms that apply to your account.
- Send illegal, misleading, harassing, hateful or discriminatory content, or impersonate anyone.
- Collect data you are not allowed to collect, or handle sensitive data MAX is not built for.
- Probe, overload, reverse-engineer, or get around the security or limits of the service.
We may suspend messaging or your account to stop a breach of these rules or to protect people, the service or the WhatsApp number.
5. AI output — you are the coach
MAX writes messages automatically. AI can be wrong, incomplete or misunderstand a customer. You configure MAX — the information it uses, what it may do on its own, and what needs your approval — and you are responsible for that configuration and for the messages sent on your behalf. MAX is designed to escalate to you when it does not know an answer, but we cannot guarantee that every reply is correct. MAX does not give professional (legal, medical, financial) advice.
6. Third-party services
MAX relies on services we do not control, such as WhatsApp (Meta) and its Business Solution Providers, calendars and AI model providers. Your use of them is also subject to their terms. If a provider limits, changes or stops its service — for example, Meta restricting a WhatsApp number — parts of MAX may stop working.
7. Fees
Pricing will be published on this site before paid plans launch. Prices will be shown before you are charged. Taxes may apply. We will give notice before any price change applies to you.
8. Ending the service
You can stop using MAX and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to prevent harm. After an account closes, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy and on the Data deletion page; you can ask us for an export before that.
9. Disclaimers
MAX is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not stated in these terms, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Doc Lock LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, customers or data. Our total liability for any claim about MAX is limited to the amount you paid us for MAX in the 12 months before the claim (or USD 100 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Your responsibility to us
You will cover our reasonable costs from claims by others that arise from your content, the messages sent to your customers under your configuration, or your breach of these terms or of the law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the "Last updated" date and give account holders notice of important changes before they take effect. If you keep using MAX after that, the new terms apply.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute about them or about MAX, are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
