Data Deletion

1. Business owners: delete your account and business data

• Email hello@maxatwork.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Data deletion request" and your business name.
• We confirm the request comes from the account holder. If we cannot, we may ask for more details.
• We delete your account, your business content (website info, services, FAQs, recordings, settings) and your conversation, contact and CRM data.

2. Customers of a business that uses MAX

If you messaged a business that uses MAX, that business controls your data. You can:

• Ask the business directly — for example, in the same WhatsApp chat. The business can delete your conversation and contact details.
• Or email us at hello@maxatwork.com with the business name and the phone number you used. We will pass your request to the business and help it respond, or act on it ourselves where the law allows.

You can also ask the business at any time to stop sending you messages.

3. If you connected MAX to Meta or WhatsApp

Disconnecting MAX in your Meta Business settings stops our access to your WhatsApp Business account from then on. It does not by itself delete data we already hold — to delete that, follow the steps above.

4. How long it takes

We confirm receipt within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying the request. We will tell you when it is done.

5. What we may keep

We may keep a limited record where the law requires it (for example, billing and tax records) or to prove we handled your request. Copies in backups are overwritten on a rolling basis and are not used to restore deleted data, except to recover from a system failure. Messages already delivered to a customer's own WhatsApp stay on their device, and Meta handles its own copies under its policies.
